NoveList Plus for Kids

This fiction and nonfiction database is aimed at helping readers find the books they want to read. Full-text reviews and read-alikes are available for many titles. NoveList K-8 allows users to search by author, title, series, theme or topic.

Kids InfoBits

Beginning researchers in Kindergarten through Grade 5 can search for information about geography, current events, the arts, science, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Student Resource Center

Get information from more than 1,100 periodicals and newspapers, primary sources, creative works, and multimedia, including hours of video and audio clips and podcasts, on all core curriculum areas, including history, literature, science, social studies, and more.

World Book Encyclopedia Online

More than 25,000 encyclopedia articles for students from grades 4 through 12. Includes the World Book Spanish Language Encyclopedia.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia

This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

MAS Ultra - School Edition

Search more than 500 popular, high school magazines. This collection also provides more than 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of over 453,000 photos, maps, flags, and archives back to 1975 for some key magazines.

Middle Search Plus

Search more than 140 popular middle school magazines, thousands of biographies and historical essays, and over 453,000 photos, maps and flags. All articles are given a reading level (Lexile) indicator.

Searchasaurus - Elementary School

Complete with erupting volcanoes, dinosaur guide and compass, Searchasaurus is an exciting and easy way for young researchers to experience online searching. It is an animated interface with a dinosaur theme that encourages young researchers to enhance and develop basic search methodologies. Appropriate for students in grades K through 12.

If you're researching an issue, look here for a balance of materials from all viewpoints, including 1,143 main essays, leading political magazines from both sides of the aisle, newspapers, radio & TV news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books. You can also find guides to debate, developing arguments and writing position papers.
