If you're researching an issue, look here for a balance of materials from all viewpoints, including 1,143 main essays, leading political magazines from both sides of the aisle, newspapers, radio & TV news transcripts, primary source documents and reference books. You can also find guides to debate, developing arguments and writing position papers.

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center

A one-stop source for information on today's hottest social issues, from Terrorism to Endangered Species, Stem Cell Research to Gun Control. OVRC features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to Websites. Appropriate for students in grades K through 12.

Environmental Studies and Policy Collection

This collection, which includes nearly 200 journals, provides instant access to the multiple viewpoints of this volatile field of study, including perspectives from the scientific community, governmental policy makers, and corporate interests.

Communications and Mass Media Collection

This collection provides current and accurate information from more than 100 journals focused on all aspects of the communications field. Key subjects covered include: advertising and public relations, literature and writing, linguistics, and many more.

War and Terrorism Collection

Contains more than 1.7 million articles about war and terrorism covering conflicts, their causes, impact and perception on a global scale.

Pop Culture Collection

This collection provides useful information for any researcher in a social sciences, history, art, or liberal arts course. The collection is made up of 100 subject-appropriate periodicals. While most articles are available online, the library may need to request a print copy in some cases.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues Collection

This collection of over 30 journals aims to provide balanced coverage of this significant aspect of our culture, covering such topics as gender studies, family and marital issues, health aspects, and many more. Coverage begins in 1980.
